# Business finance providers

## Many applications, many documents, and a decision that stays with people

A business finance provider receives applications that only become useful when complete and well prepared. A workflow can register them, flag missing documents and prepare conversations; your team keeps the financing decision.

## What defines this sector

The work starts with an **application** from a business owner, through a form, an adviser or a phone call. Before a meaningful conversation can happen, the data and documents must be complete.

After that, it is all about **follow-up and care**: requesting missing documents, recording conversations and keeping the applicant informed. A workflow that prepares and records fits better here than one that decides for itself.

## Suitable processes

### Register and enrich applications

An application becomes a lead in the CRM, supplemented with the company details needed for the first conversation. See [sales follow-up](<https://gen8.app/en/mogelijkheden/salesopvolging/>).

### Flag missing documents

Identify which documents are still missing and propose a draft request to the applicant. See [monitor, notify and follow up](<https://gen8.app/en/mogelijkheden/monitoring-en-melden/>).

### Prepare conversations

A short brief for each conversation, covering what is known about the business owner and application, and which questions remain open.

### Process customer conversations

After the conversation, notes and agreements are in the CRM, with a proposed next step. See [meeting to CRM](<https://gen8.app/en/mogelijkheden/meeting-naar-crm/>).

### Prepare follow-up

A draft email and the next activity are ready. Your team reads, edits and sends.

## Where the limits lie

No automated lending decisions. A workflow does not assess creditworthiness, approve or reject applications, or make commitments about terms. People make those decisions, with reasoning they can defend themselves.

We discuss the supervisory and legal rules that apply to your organisation during scoping. The workflow follows those rules; it does not set them.

## Frequently asked questions

Does a workflow decide whether an application is approved?

No. It organises, supplements and flags what is missing. A person makes the financing decision.

Can a workflow access applicants' financial data?

Only within the permissions of the user it works on behalf of, for the purpose for which the data was provided, and with logging. We define exactly what is allowed for each engagement.

## Does this sound like your organisation?

Bring one process. We assess suitability, risk and expected value, and tell you if it is not a good fit.
