Integration · route: configured
A sales conversation produces commitments that almost never reach the CRM in full. This integration reads the meeting transcript, extracts what deserves follow-up and proposes the corresponding note, task and deal change. Because it involves a recorded conversation, this integration starts with consent rather than technology.

Capabilities
On the meeting side, the workflow reads the transcript and summary of a recorded meeting: who spoke, what was agreed, objections raised and the next appointment. It can also search earlier transcripts to answer a question.
On the CRM side, it proposes what follows from that conversation:
A transcript is not meeting minutes. The workflow records what was said and marks what remained unclear instead of smoothing over loose ends.
Inspiration
A few examples of work you can hand over through this integration. We work out what fits your organisation together during scoping.
After a recorded conversation, its key points appear as a note on the contact or deal, referencing the transcript.
What was agreed in the conversation is prepared as a task, with an owner and deadline.
If a deal stage or field lags behind what was said, a proposal is prepared. A stage is never moved automatically.
If something was agreed but cannot be found in the CRM, you receive a signal.
What did the customer previously say about timing? The workflow looks it up in earlier transcripts.
The report also states what remained unclear instead of polishing away loose ends.
Permissions and data
Two connections, both configured by an administrator: one to the meeting side to read transcripts and summaries, one to HubSpot for proposed changes. The workflow only reads meetings within the agreed scope.
The main limitation here concerns law and proper conduct rather than technology. Recording and processing a meeting requires all participants to know and agree — including the customer's people. You arrange that consent, not the workflow, and without it this integration should not be enabled. Processing takes place in the EU.
Control
Everything going from a conversation to the CRM is a proposal. The deal owner sees the proposed note, task or field change beside the current value, and approves, edits or rejects. That matters more here than with an integration that only reads systems: a model interpreting a conversation can miss a nuance everyone in the room heard.
A note referencing the transcript is therefore the starting point; automatically moving deal stages based on spoken text explicitly is not. Every step is logged, including rejected items.
Evidence
Fireflies and HubSpot both have their own Gen8 integrations: Fireflies tools retrieve transcripts and search recordings; HubSpot tools cover contacts, deals, activities and tickets. The route is configured because an administrator first determines which meetings are included and which CRM fields may be affected.
Follow up a sales conversation
Yes. Recording and processing a conversation requires every participant to know and agree. You arrange that; the integration assumes it is arranged.
The meeting service's retention setting and your policy determine that, not the workflow. Define it before starting.
Yes, using supplied notes instead of a transcript. Follow-up works the same; the input is just less complete.
We advise against it. Moving a stage based on spoken text is exactly the kind of decision a person should see before it happens.
